casse-dalle - programmation 2026

In 2026, we are organizing a monthly day of social cohesion activities and creative workshops to take care of the “casse-dalle” garden. This program follows the consultations, sociocultural activities, and greening and de-paving projects already carried out since 2024 at 43 rue de Liverpool, on the border between the Anderlecht and Molenbeek municipalities, along the path of the future Sennette park.
The programming is gradually built based on the desires of the neighborhood, the plants, and the resources available on site. We are working on this with Anna-Luz Pueyo, La compilothèque, Izabela Czarna, Collectif Méandres, and other local associations.

Anna Luz Pueyo is a designer and artist working with plants at the crossroads of food, colour and collective making. She began building cooking stations in public space in 2022 as part of her graduation project at ENSCI Les Ateliers. The project gradually evolved through her involvement with Brussels-based associations, naturally integrating rocket stoves into gardens that she cultivates together with local collectives, such as casse-dalle in Anderlecht alongside Gilbard and dallas.
Together with neighbours and participants, the rocket stove becomes a meeting point for plant-based dyeing, screen printing and collective cooking, exploring how shared tools can create spaces for social fermentation and local ecological practices.

Izabela Czarna is a multidisciplinary artist and crafts enthusiast, with strong interest in ecological ways of living. Having distinguished the need to grow own food as a form of critique towards corporatism, big pharma and bureaucracy, Czarna started urban gardening at the top floor of the former artist collective "Level 5" building in Koekelberg. The 5th floor terasse quickly became an oasis for local wildlife, such as bees, butterflies and crows. Since February, the eclectic artist got involved in Anderlecht casse-dalle's garden on a regular basis. It is therefore, that she would like to propose a workshop focused around seed exchange through the creation of paper trays - with seeds and dry flowers, collected from both sides of the city.
